So let’s get down to it and  talk about the seven mistakes that  you can make.

The Seventh Biggest Mistake – Is having a “Lone Ranger” mentality.

If you think that the best way, or the only way for you to achieve your goals is to do it by yourself then you have Lone Ranger Mentality. Do you believe that reaching out to someone, and a professional someone for that matter, somehow indicates that you aren’t “something” enough? That it somehow means you’re incapable and not smart enough, strong enough or good enough?

Well let me assure you, the people who come to coaching are all of those things, extremely capable, smart, strong and a whole lot more. They choose coaching because they are ready to accelerate their personal or professional lives and work with a professional who will enable them to achieve their goals faster, easier and with better results than they could on their own.

A coach will facilitate your self discovery, the identification of your goals and the prioritization of those goals. Your coach will help you create your action plan as well as prepare for and overcome any challenges you encounter along the way.

Your coach will hold you accountable for taking consistent action toward the realization of your goals. Accountability is one of the greatest payoffs of coaching. It is so powerful because it can make all the difference in terms of you being a Goal Achiever instead of just a Goal Setter and someone who walks the walk instead of just talking the talk.

Think of your coach as your success partner, whose reason for being is to help you get what you want quicker, easier and with better results than you could on your own.

The Sixth Biggest Mistake – Settling for good instead of going for great.

If you’re thinking your life is good and you’re relatively satisfied, congratulations! That did not happen on its own. You have obviously done some fabulous work.

You’ve already proven you’re the kind of person who proactively goes after what you want and you get it. So why would you settle for anything less than great? Why would you settle for living in black and white when you could be living in technicolour? Do you really want to play it safe and stay comfortable? Playing it safe and staying comfortable can take you no further than good.

Most of my clients are people who are already very successful. Now that they’ve personally experienced the power of coaching they tell me that they realize just how much less they were settling for, for themselves and their lives. They were settling for good when they could have been experiencing great.

My clients also tell me that coaching has dramatically increased the quality of their lives in all areas, from increased sales to enhanced relationships and from better health to increased productivity. They feel, many for the very first time, that they are fully and vibrantly alive.

So I challenge those of you who are settling. I challenge you to stop settling for good. I challenge you to go for GREAT and beyond with coaching.

The Fifth Biggest Mistake – Believing that you have to work harder in order to achieve your goals.

Do you have dreams or desires that you’ve left unfulfilled because you can’t imagine bringing them to life without adding a lot more to your already jam packed schedule? It may surprise you to know that coaching can enable you to be more, do more and have more by working smarter instead of harder.

Your coach will lead you through an efficient process. You’ll begin by getting crystal clear about what you do and do not want in your life. What’s great about that is that when you figure out the things in your life that you’re tolerating or doing just because you feel like you should you can create a lot of extra space in your schedule to tackle the things that are truly meaningful to you.

Next, you will develop an action plan that details what it’s going to take, the what by when, for you to reach your goals. Finally, you will stay focused and on track by being accountable to your coach for taking consistent action and you will learn how to overcome any challenges that come up along the way.

If you want to learn how to work smarter instead of harder, coaching is a wise investment of your time and money.

The Fourth Biggest Mistake – Blaming external factors for what’s not working in your life and waiting for them to change so you can have the life you dream of.

Do you find yourself wishing other people were different; easier to get along with, more positive, more successful, trustworthy or kind? Or, do you find yourself thinking about how your life would be better if your circumstances were different if only you had a better job, more money, more time or more opportunity?

Are you telling yourself that these external factors are responsible for what’s not working in your life or for preventing you from having what you want?

It can be very tempting to get caught up in this paradigm. But the reality is that if you are looking for or waiting for something outside of yourself to change and give you what you want, you will be waiting, and frustrated, for a very long time.

The reason for this is that you do not have control over anything outside of you. What you do have, though, is total control over yourself. You have total control over your thoughts, your actions and your results.

It is a fact that your circumstances will change when you make a committed decision to do the things that will move you in the direction of what you want to experience in your life, and then do them. Hiring a coach is one of the smartest things you can do to ensure you take control and create the reality you want to experience. I personally invest in coaching and mentoring consistently.

The Third Biggest Mistake – Wasting your time and money on stuff that doesn’t get you the results you want and is not ultimately fulfilling.

Let’s face it; there are an infinite number of things that you can spend your hard earned money and valuable time on these days. When you know you want things to be different or better it’s easy for you to waste your time and your money in one of two ways.

The first one is spending your time and money collecting information that comes in the form of books, software, seminars, conferences, reports. You are collecting information that you believe can help you get what you want.

Now don’t get the wrong idea here, information is a great thing. I am a big believer in information being a critical tool in helping you get where you want to go, but I want to make something very clear here.

Information alone will not get you results. You cannot expect that your sales will automatically increase just because you read the Guru of Sales’ latest book and you can’t assume that your monthly expenses will automatically organize themselves just because you purchased the newest expenses tracking software. You will get fulfilling results only by taking consistent action toward achieving your goals based on what you’ve learned from the information you’ve collected.

The second way you may be wasting your time and money is by acquiring and participating in things that have nothing to do with, and even go against, you having what you really want.

Have you ever allowed a month to go by where you indulged every food craving you had and did not exercise regularly, even though your deepest desire is to achieve and maintain a healthy body weight and lifestyle? Have you ever gone out and bought an expensive gadget you don’t really need or can’t really afford when what you truly desire is to feel successful and experience financial freedom?

If this sounds like you then you know what it’s like to be running on the hamster wheel of short term gain, in the form of immediate gratification, leading you to long term pain because your life experiences don’t match up with what you really want?

It’s very important to realize that spending your time or money on things that give you immediate gratification but have nothing to do with your goals and values will always leave you feeling empty. Completely and totally empty and looking for the next quick fix.

Instead of wasting your time and money, why not invest in yourself in a way that will accelerate your personal and professional development? Working with a coach on an ongoing basis is the most time and cost effective investment you can make in yourself and your quality of life.

Your coach can teach you how to make the most of what you’ve got and how to do more with less. Your coach will hold you accountable for taking consistent purposeful action towards achieving your goals.

By working with a coach, you will get crystal clear on what you really want, why you want it and how to get it. Having clarity takes the guess work out of things. That way, you will be able to evaluate all future investment opportunities, and by that we mean any and all opportunities for you to spend your time or money, according to their ability to enable you to fulfill your purpose, your vision, your values and your goals.

The Second Biggest Mistake – Waiting for a “good” time to make a change or go after the things you really want in life.

Guess what, there is no good time. Life will always be busy. There will always be family and business obligations to attend to, errands to run, chores to do, TV programs to watch and people and projects that want your time, energy and money. Your life will always be busy and it will always get in the way of what you really want, if you let it.

Wondering what you can do about it? You can stop kidding yourself. Today. Stop kidding yourself that the perfect time is just around the corner or sometime off in the future. Instead, decide to join forces with a professional who can teach you how to make the most of every moment starting right now.

Your coach will hold you accountable while keeping you focused and on track to achieving your goals no matter what life throws at you.

The Biggest Mistake – Telling yourself you can’t afford a coach.

The truth is that you can’t afford not to have one. Coaches are highly in demand these days because coaching has proven itself to be an extremely effective method for facilitating personal and professional development and fulfillment.

The word is out everywhere, it’s in the media, it’s in corporations and it’s in the community. The word is out that coaching makes sense and it really works. In studies that have been done on the impact of coaching, the results have consistently shown a return on investment of more than 100%.

Coaching clients from all walks and areas of life consistently report that it is the best money they ever spent because their investment in an ongoing coaching partnership enables them to achieve their goals. What’s even better is coaching enables them to achieve their goals quicker, easier and with better results. Now think about that for a moment. Think about what that means for you. Anything you want is available to you quicker, easier and with better results through the vehicle of coaching.

If you are still unsure consider this, it’s not enough for you to say you want things to be different. Just wanting something doesn’t make it so. You must make a decision and then take purposeful action toward what you want. When you put your money where your mouth is and invest in a coaching programme you demonstrate your commitment to achieving the thing that you want and at the same time you cut yourself off from any possibility other than total success.

Today we are talking about mastering your money mindset.  We are going to talk about your money story, and identifying your limiting beliefs that are holding you back, and I’ll share a wealth consciousness practice that you can do right now to start changing your money story, and get into alignment with a money story that serves you, and your family, and the community around you.

Money story

I have the privilege of talking with many women each week, and so often the biggest block they are facing in their life is a lack of money.  It is this lack of money that is reducing their choices in life, keeping them stuck in jobs they don’t like, creating pressure in relationships, impacting their health, and overall enjoyment in life.

I’ve been there! Around 5 or 6 years ago, I was feeling the pinch from the public sector having pay freezes for what felt like for ever. I felt like I was working harder, and actually getting poorer, because the cost of living was increasing, my children were getting older and their costs were increasing, and my pay was staying the same. After a while of pressure and increasing debt, I decided to take action, take control and give myself a payrise. That’s when I started my health and wellness franchise and wellness coaching and built that along side my full time job.

I had started investing in coaching and mentoring, and really understanding that I could control what I thought, and therefore what I created in my life.

Many of us, at some point , struggle with feeling unsuccessful, with feeling unfulfilled in our work and insecure in our finances.

It is so true that financial abundance goes hand in hand with personal fulfillment, but we’re never been taught how to achieve financial abundance doing what we love.

Ever felt like that? Like achieving financial abundance doing work that fulfills you is something that only a select few other people get to experience?

I know so many of you have tried working harder and longer. You’ve changed jobs, even careers, but still, financial security seems out of reach. Even success, when it does come, isn’t always fulfilling.

The whole process is exhausting! Enough now! Let’s stop this cycle.

The cycle continues until finally, we end up feeling resigned to dreams so small, they barely sustain us. I find it so interesting that when I first speak to people and invite them to dream big, often their first dream is actually just a “lets get by without it being exhausted” dream. It’s not really the one that they would have desired for themselves as a little girl. People think its not possible.

When I ask clients about why they don’t make as much money as they want, I hear them say things like:

I’m just no good with money.

I’ve reached the limit of my earning potential.

I’m doing great, it would be greedy to want more.

I should be earning  more, but Im afraid it would cost too much ( in terms of health or relationships)

My partner takes care of our money.

I’m just afraid to even look at my finances.

Money just isn’t that important to me.

I have a good life, I should just be happy with that.

I’m smart, driven, but I just can’t seem to break through to the next level.

It doesn’t actually matter why you believe you don’t earn enough, because whatever you come up with isn’t true, and doesn’t have to be that way. Obviously we pick up our beliefs from our parents relationship with money when we were children.

What if that could all be in the past? What if, starting right now, you could begin following an entirely new path doing work you love that fully supports you, your life, and your future?

,Now you can get on a new path, a path that, if you continue to follow it, will change your entire experience around work, money, personal fulfilment, and much more.

So lets talk about your money story from your parents.

What was your parents relationship to money and their beliefs? I want you to explore the relationship your parents had to money.

What things did they used to say to you.

What things they didn’t say but you learned from their behaviour.

What things do you remember happening to them whilst you were a child?

Do this for your Father.

Do this for your Mother.

For example, I grew up in a  strong Christian household, my Mother used to say things like “ Money is the root of all evil” and “ Rich people are greedy” and I also discovered that being told the story of Jesus throwing out the merchants from the temple for selling their wares there was sin and  what I understood as a child from that was “making money was sin”,  this had an impact on my belief around money. So what do you think this did to my mindset growing up? How do you think this has played out in my adult life?

This is why it is important to spend some time on reflection here. Dig deep.

Who else was important in your life growing up? What was their money story? I want you to do this for them to. As you will begin to unpick the thoughts and beliefs you took on as a child around money.

What is the story you are telling yourself now?

What do you think to yourself?

What is your excuse you are using to keep yourself stuck where you are now?

It could be – Right now I’m in debt, I don’t own a car, I have to work hard to make ends meet.

Now we are beginning to peel back the onion layers to find the stories and beliefs you’ve been carrying. As adults who are in control of our own lives, we don’t have to carry these stories anymore. We can release them. So let’s build on this.

Limiting Beliefs

Funny thing is, while the results people achieve with the energy work I do are often amazing and life-changing, most people are surprised by how natural and stressfree the process feels.

So… are you ready?  Are you ready to dramatically improve your financial success and personal fulfillment?

If you’ve been through tough times, or if you’re currently going through tough times, you know exactly what I mean.

Financial stress adds so much pressure to our everyday lives, clouding our ability to feel free and fulfilled, healthy and energized.

I want you to stop to think about your finances right now, how do you feel they limit you?   Make a note in your journal.

How have your finances affected your happiness, your sense of well-being and personal fulfillment?

How have they impacted your relationships?

Personally speaking, it wasn’t until I took a look at what was going on internally that I realized why I had been stuck for so long.

When I did that, I discovered that my beliefs – around money, work, myself, rich people, what it would take to be successful, and much more – were dictating my life.

For the first time, I understood how much my own beliefs were limiting the amount of financial success and personal fulfillment I could experience.

That realization was a huge turning point for me.

It was the moment when I began to understand that I’d only be able to change my life once I’d changed my beliefs.

As important as my realization was, that alone never could have transformed my life. You need to transform your energy and mindset. I use the Energy Alignment Method for this.

Because the truth is, even when you know your limiting beliefs are standing in your way, transforming them isn’t always just about force-feeding yourself positive beliefs.

I’m a huge believer in positive thinking, but just thinking positive thoughts often isn’t sufficient to overwrite limiting beliefs in a deep and lasting way.

The fact is, beliefs around money, success and happiness are so deeply ingrained that they look and feel like “the truth.” They’re often connected to deep emotions, and sometimes to old, buried memories as well.

Until we’re able to access these deeper root(s) of our beliefs, transforming them can feel like pushing a boulder up a hill. I like fast results !

So in order for positive beliefs to support you in living the abundant and fulfilling life you deserve, you have to believe them, not just mentally, but emotionally as well on a subconscious level.

One of the fastest and most powerful ways to access the deeper roots of your beliefs— information that’s often stored in the subconscious mind—is through the body.

That’s what makes energy techniques so powerful. They don’t just stuff new positive beliefs down your throat, hoping that your subconscious will follow suit.

Instead, the techniques I do guide you toward a process of transformation that’s both deeper and faster.

So that you release old limiting beliefs and become mentally and emotionally invested in new and more empowering beliefs. Once that happens, your entire life begins to transform.

We want your new, empowering beliefs as deeply ingrained as your old ones once were, so your experience around work, money, success and fulfillment naturally begin to support the abundant and fulfilling life you deserve.

The first step in this process of transforming your limiting beliefs is identifying them.  So that is what we are going to do here.

Even if you think you already know what they are, I’ve got a list of the most common beliefs. That you can download in my Facebook group the Art of Alignment- Living the Life You Want. And I urge you to take the time to go through this list  of disempowering beliefs one at a time, and be honest with yourself about how true each belief feels.

And I want to stress the word feels because that’s where you get a true measurement.

You might have a conscious “positive thinking” belief of, “I’m a good salesman/woman” but when you stop and read that statement aloud and feel it in your body, you might suddenly feel the truth of that subconsciously as you think something like, “No I’m not. I never get good results.”  That gut feeling that comes up is the true measurement of our beliefs.

As you go through this process, make sure to read each statement aloud and FEEL in your body how true each statement feels to you.

After you’ve gone through this process of identifying your limiting beliefs, then you can release the belief, through energy work, this could be Tapping, Access Consciouness or the Energy Alignment Method, and then align yourself, with feeling to the positive belief.

Here is a few to get you started!

Making More Money Means Working Longer Hours.

I’ve never been lucky like that.

I’m too busy trying to break even.

Money stresses me out.

Money is dirty.

I don’t deserve a lot of money.

Rich people are fake.

I don’t need a lot of money.

If I make more money my friends or family won’t like me.

Use a journal to write what comes up for you.

Once you’ve identified a whole bunch of limiting beliefs that are not serving you. Do the energy work to shift them and align with positive beliefs.

And to really begin to transform your mindset around this stuff, I want you to do a wealth consciousness practice every day. It is crucial. Throw everything you’ve got at this stuff! And you need to be consistent with your practice. Do it daily.

One of my favourites to do, which I learnt from Denise Duffield Thomas, Get Rich Lucky Bitch Author.

Wealth Consciousness Practice

Every day write down a list of all the money that comes into your life. Track every penny, whether it is from salary, gifts, money in the street, bonuses, or an inheritance. Big or Small, track it every day, and feel good and grateful about it.

By paying close attention to all those extra little bits and pieces of money that comes your way, you will start to activate the law of attraction positively. Like attracts like – so the more money you realise you have, the more money will start flowing to you.

This takes you out of focusing on the lack of money in your life, where you send a signal out to the universe of lack and so you attract more of the same.

Also track everything else of value that comes into your life that might not be money. It could be gifts, savings, discounts, things you receive for free. By noting these you might actually realise you get more free stuff than money, so you might need to switch your focus to manifest more money.

Make a commitment to track your money every day for a least a month- because what gets measured gets improved. I know when I do this – it works, I get excited and grateful about what is coming to me.

The first time I did this, I got an extra £800 from an unexpected source. I couldn’t quite believe my eyes.

So, 30 days, track track track! You can make your own tracker, or if you are in the Facebook group I can send it to you.

This is about knowing how much money you are manifesting so you can attract some more.

This is such a big topic, and a game changer for people. We do lots of this in my programmes, as mastering your money mindset is key.
